5 minute ritual for busy bees

In modern life, it feels like a rare treat to get the day or evening off. When life gets exhausting, it’s easy to neglect your skin in favour of doing, well, nothing. But here’s the thing: taking care of your complexion needn’t be time-consuming. To prove it, we’ve created a 5 minute ritual to follow in the morning or evening to give your skin the attention it deserves – perfect for those who are always on the go.

  1. First, wash your face for approximately 1 minute. In the morning, you’ll simply need to apply our universal Pure Glow Cleanser, enriched with a burst of hydrating Aloe Vera and balancing Rosewood oil. In the evening, combine our cleanser with our gentle but hard-working Konjac sponge – the texture makes for easy make up removal and is ideal for banishing impurities.
  2. Afterwards, gently pat your face dry for 10 seconds with a soft towel. If you rub your face dry you’ll be removing essential moisture, leaving skin feeling sore and tight.
  3. Next, spend a luxurious 2 minutes applying your moisturiser. Dab our intensely hydrating Daily Radiance Moisturiser onto your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin, and smooth evenly around the face. Massage the cream into your face and décolletage (neck and collarbones) in small, circular motions. Tired skin will particularly benefit from cucumber extract to soothe and high-tech protein Tetrapeptide-9 to tighten the complexion.
  4. Dark circles, be gone. Lightly apply our No-Lines Nourishing Cream around the eyes’ contour (never too close to the eye, or it could become irritated), which will take around 10 seconds each side (20 seconds in total). Enriched with brown seaweed, the cream diminishes dark circles, so you’ll look alert – even if you don’t feel it.
  5. Tap in the eye cream for 30 seconds using our tried-and-tested face tapping method, tapping along the facial nerves pathway to boost circulation and give skin a luminous glow.
  6. Allow the products to be absorbed by taking 1 minute to practise mindfulness, concentrating on your breath. Practise Dr Andrew Weil’s 4-7-8 breathing technique (breathe in for 4 seconds; hold for 7; breathe out for 8) three times over.

Before a busy day, or after a hectic one, this ritual will be one you look forward to, rather than one you make excuses for. And just like that – in 5 minutes, or less – your skin is in a better place. And so, hopefully, is your mind.
